Artwork since I've been in Chico

All of these pieces (besides the pinecone and woman) are done in charcoal on 18x24 drawing paper. The pinecone was a sketchbook assignment on about 10x12 paper. And the woman was done in sepia tone conte crayon on 27x36 drawing paper.

Concentration Pieces

This is my concentration from AP art. I had to create a theme and have it work through half of the pieces of my portfolio. In this case, my theme was constructed around animals and designs/colors that go with their character.

This is my self portrait in the style of Chuck Close. It is more realistic than his work and each square is altered only a little bit by color.

This is a story of my baby nephew written in pencil, and the images of the clouds, grass, and sunflower are gesso with a hint of acrylic color.

This is my visual pun assignment, called "nightmare." It's done in acrylic.

This is my self-portrait in a cubist style. It's charcoal and represents my personality.

This is an acrylic landscape lake painting that I did over the summer to add to my breadth portfolio.

This is a painting I did on the side as well. It is acrylic and on 12x16 canvas.

This is a rendering of my mother when she was nineteen on a beach in San Francisco. It is graphite and was done in 2008.

I painted this on the side a while ago, its watercolor.

This is my most recent piece, its a print of a butterfly carved from two linos.

I painted this on the side in acrylic. The idea came from song lyrics from Death Cab.

This is my idea of a futuristic city. The world will be dry and empty and full of natural disasters. It's done in acrylic.
